Origin
Originates from a valuable variety of walnuts cultivated on the experimental land plot of the Research Institute of Horticulture and Production Technology in 1962. The variety was registered in 1980.

Variety Characteristics
The tree grows up rapidly, is resistant to droughts and frosts, as well as to diseases. During the years with chilly and rainy summers it starts blooming during the medium timeframes. Male flowers start blooming 5-7 days earlier than female flowers. The harvest is rich and constant. The shell is relatively thick, while the kernel is of high quality.

Tree
The tree grows up rapidly, shaping a thick trunk, the bark having grey colour.
Crown – flat – spherical, having the diameter of 12 m, relatively dense.
Scaffold branches – solid, the branches could be straight or slightly bent, shaping large angles relative to the trunk.
Offshoots – long or medium-sized, thick with dark-coloured bark.

Fruit
Size – large, on the average: H=40,2 mm, D=38,2 mm, d=39,0 mm; the fruit average weight is 14,5 g.
Shape – spherical, with round cross-section and round base. The fascicules are well clustered. The top is round.
Endocarp – relatively thick, solid, the halves can be easily separated, the kernel remaining intact or is separated in halves. The surface is brown coloured.
Kernel – fits well the cavities, yellowing in colour, having pleasant odour and appropriate quality.
Maturity/Harvest – second decade of September.
